Overview

One place for Jira administration requests

Use FlowOps to capture what is needed, why it is needed, and which configuration or access change is being requested. Administrators can review the details, make a decision, and follow the request through its available execution steps.

Structured requests

Request forms collect the relevant details for supported request types and help reduce follow-up questions.

Administrator review

Authorized administrators can review requests and approve or reject them according to the organization’s process.

Progress visibility

Track request statuses and available activity or execution outcomes in one place.

Important: Automation depends on the request type, the app version, Jira permissions, and configuration. Some features are Beta; some are assisted or require an administrator to complete the action manually.

Frequently asked questions

Before you begin

Do requesters need Jira administrator permissions?

The purpose is to let users submit requests without needing broad Jira administrator permissions just to ask for a change. The actual execution of a change still depends on the permissions and process required for that request.

Are all features fully automated?

No. Some supported operations can be automated, Beta operations may have limitations, application actions are assisted, and some requests require an administrator to complete the steps manually.

Where can I find the instructions for each request type?

Open the Feature Guide from the navigation. Select a category or feature in the sidebar to view its purpose, expected information, and execution notes.
